Founded in 1979, China Film Co-production Corporation (CFCC) has been the sole agency authorized by the national film authority of China to assess the co-production status of all Chinese-foreign film co-productions, as well as films co-produced between producers from the Chinese Mainland and from Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan regions. Upon completion of assessment, all applications will be submitted to the national film authority of China for final approval for the co-production status. CFCC is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Film Group Corporation.
